Attached are copies of the mailings that will go out, as well as a printable flyer with information about the rap session.

Attached are samples of the mailings that are being sent out. One mailing is directed to our Local and State leaders, and the others to our non-members inviting them to participate in a Virtual Rap Session with APWU President Jonathan Smith. The non-member mailing will also include a membership application. Also attached is a printable flier that can be posted in workplaces to help inform non-members.

To better engage specific audiences, four virtual sessions have been scheduled. One session will be held for Local, State, and National leaders to provide an overview of the outreach effort and what to expect from the three upcoming non-member sessions. The remaining three sessions are for non-members and are structured by group: young workers age 35 and under, legacy workers age 36 and above, and non-member retirees who did not join the Retirees Department upon retirement.

This is an exciting opportunity for non-members to hear directly from our President, ask questions, and engage in a conversation about the future of our union. We look forward to strong participation and encourage you to help spread the word.

These Zoom meetings are precursors to, and just one of the ways we will be reaching out to our non-members during the Our Future Is in Our Hands National Organizing Drive, which will officially kick off on June 1 and run through the 2026 National Convention.

Below are the scheduled dates, times, and registration links for the upcoming sessions. The meeting for Local and State Presidents will provide additional information about the upcoming non-member outreach meetings and how leaders can help promote participation.
