My ultimate responsibility is to oversee and move grievances.  I work closely with shop stewards and help them prepare a "winning" grievance.

 

I also meet with the membership at their stations and if they need personal assistance my door is open to help through their particular situation.  I personnally take my position very seriously, I have held positions as custodian/electrician/BEM at NJI & NDC and I know first hand how management likes to manipulate a situation, so my goal at NY Metro is teach the membership that they have rights and how to utilize those rights for their benefit.
